How to Analyze Data using EssentialAnalysis.Org

You Can:

  • Look at the aggregate data for your school
  • Look at disaggregated data for your school
  • Look at your data graphically or in tables
  • Compare the same surveys over time

You can access your surveys immediately: All you need is to have at least 15 students or 5 teachers to complete a survey before the results can be accessed.

How you can do this:

  • Log into the system
    • Create an account if you have not already done so
    • Click on the analyze survey link
  • Determine your analysis choices
    • Choose a survey and the time it was administered.
    • If you want, choose a category of questions to view (Some surveys will have questions that can be grouped into categories, such as school culture or academic expectations).
    • If you want, choose one or two demographic variables to look deeper into your data. (We recommend that you view your results in aggregate first.)
    • If you want, choose another survey to compare the results to, if you have administered this survey more than once.
    • Choose whether you want to see the results as graphs or in a table format.
